Automated, scripted, or otherwise abusive registration patterns that exceed normal human usage may result in temporary throttling or account suspension. We reserve the right to suspend accounts engaged in intentional abuse of the registration system, including but not limited to automated bulk registration, registration of non-authentic content, or patterns designed to exhaust system resources. 6. Social Link Hosting

6.1 Description

Social Links are publicly accessible web pages hosted at host.signos.app that allow anyone to view and verify the authenticity of your registered media. When you create a Social Link, the associated media file is uploaded to Signos servers and made available for download by anyone who wishes to verify its authenticity.

6.2 Content License Grant

By creating a Social Link, you grant Signos Technologies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, serve, cache, display, and distribute the uploaded content for the purpose of operating the Social Link verification service. This license exists solely to enable the Social Link functionality and terminates when the hosted content is removed. You retain all ownership rights to your content.

6.3 Public Availability

You acknowledge and agree that content uploaded via Social Links is publicly accessible. Anyone with the link can view, download, and verify the content. Do not create Social Links for content you wish to keep private.

6.4 Content Removal and Retention

6.5 No Guarantee of Hosting Availability

We provide Social Link hosting on a commercially reasonable basis but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Hosted pages may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or other factors beyond our control. Social Link hosting is a feature of the Software, not a standalone hosting service, and is not covered by any service level agreement.

7. Content Policy

7.1 Prohibited Content

You may not use the Software or Social Link hosting to store, distribute, or make available content that:

7.2 Newsworthy and Documentary Content

We recognize that the Software is designed for documenting real-world events, including situations involving conflict, protest, or crisis. Content depicting violence or disturbing situations that serves a legitimate journalistic, documentary, evidentiary, or public interest purpose is permitted, provided it does not violate applicable law.

7.3 Automated Content Moderation

We employ automated systems to detect content that may violate this Content Policy. You acknowledge that:

7.4 Account Suspension

Accounts found to be in violation of this Content Policy will be suspended pending review. During suspension:

7.5 Appeals

If your account is suspended or your content is removed and you believe this was done in error, you may appeal by contacting support@signos.app. Appeals will be reviewed by a human within 10 business days. Include your account identifier and a description of why you believe the action was taken in error.

8. Blockchain Registration

8.1 Permanence

Important: Records registered on the Algorand blockchain are permanent and cannot be deleted, modified, or removed by anyone, including Signos Technologies. This includes cryptographic fingerprints (hashes) and any metadata included in the transaction note. You acknowledge this permanence before registering files. Content takedown, account suspension, or subscription cancellation does not affect blockchain records.

8.2 Blockchain Records vs. Hosted Content

It is important to understand the distinction between blockchain records and hosted content:

Removing hosted content does not remove the corresponding blockchain record. The blockchain record proves that a file with a specific fingerprint existed at a specific time, but does not by itself reveal the contents of that file.

8.3 Public vs Private Registration

You are solely responsible for choosing the appropriate registration type.

8.4 No Guarantee of Legal Effect

9. Content Takedown Procedures

9.1 Reporting Content

If you believe that content hosted on Social Links violates our Content Policy, infringes your rights, or is otherwise illegal, you may report it by:

9.2 DMCA Takedown Notices

If you believe that content hosted on our service infringes your copyright under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), please submit a written notice to our designated agent with the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  2. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, including the URL of the Social Link
  3. Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email address)
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

Designated Agent for DMCA Notices:

Signos Technologies
Attn: DMCA Agent
Email: support@signos.app

9.3 Counter-Notification

If your content has been removed pursuant to a DMCA takedown notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notification to support@signos.app containing:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  3. Your name, address, and telephone number
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or San Francisco, California if you are outside the United States) and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the takedown notice
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and restore the removed content within 10-14 business days unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.

9.4 Repeat Infringers

We will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. Three valid takedown notices within a 12-month period will result in permanent account termination.

9.5 Scope of Takedown

Content takedown removes the hosted media from Social Link pages on Signos servers. As described in Section 8.2, takedown does not and cannot remove blockchain records, which are permanent and exist independently on the Algorand network. Blockchain records contain cryptographic fingerprints only, not the actual content of your files.

9.6 Illegal Content

Content that we determine to be illegal, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, will be removed immediately without prior notice and reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where required by law.

We do not control the Algorand blockchain. We are not responsible for:

14.4 Content Moderation

21.2 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
